Our Mission

Rotary Park Playground.Parks & Recreation Department Manager Beth Campbell says, "The mission of the Parks & Recreation Department is to provide and coordinate opportunities for all residents to participate in a variety of personal and community leisure activities. We serve children and adults, senior citizens, community clubs, sports teams, and others."

Day Camp. The Department administers a budget of $1.1 million for staffing, maintenance of facilities, and programs. Lawrenceburg's parks are some of the best in the region, attracting ball teams and visitors from across South Central Tennessee and Northern Alabama. "We could not operate without our volunteers, community groups, and so many who work with our children and provide support throughout the year. 'Thanks' to each and every one," says Campbell.

The department maintains 160 acres of land, in addition to managing facilities for Rotary Park, the Old Armory, Crockett Theatre, the Davy Crockett Cabin, plus the pool at Rotary Park. The staff also provides scheduling support for Rotary and Bobby Brewer Parks.
